Join HomeSmartNY’s statewide network of over 80 nonprofit organizations for our annual conference and awards dinner – Power Through Partnerships 2017.  Our conference has expanded to two days.  We have added a half-day member training to kick off day 1 followed by our annual membership meeting.  Our members, partners and guests will then join us for a reception and dinner celebrating our first annual Homer Awards from 5 – 8 p.m.  Our confirmed honorees  are Eileen Anderson, NeighborWorks America and Hala Farid from Citibank will receive the Banking Partnership Award.

The following day, 9/28 we will all gather for Power Through Partnerships 2017.  Our statewide network of HUD-approved Housing Counseling Agencies’ staff, our non-profit affiliates and our lending and real estate partners will join together for a series of breakouts.  These sessions will feature exciting local, state and national programs that are powered through partnership.  The breakouts are interactive Speakers will provide detailed overviews and assessments of their programs.  Attendees will discuss ways that they may be able to participate in or replicate the programs in their cities and neighborhoods.  Our goal is to bring innovative programs and new sources of funding to the NYS housing counseling community and the clients that we serve.  Attendees will learn about innovative programs that increase access to funding, generate affordable lending, develop homeownership opportunities and partner to create strong and healthy neighborhoods.  Confirmed partnerships and participants include Nationwide Mortgage Collaborative, SONYMA’s Neighborhood Revitalization Program, Freddie Mac and the Wright Family Foundation.  More participants are joining us every day.


HomeSmartNY is a statewide coalition of over 80 housing counseling agencies.   We are dedicated to professionalizing homeownership education and counseling through this statewide network of like-minded nonprofit organizations.  We work on bringing together our partners from the lending, servicing and Real Estate industries to explore ways in which we can work together.
